چکیده

Only 1% - 12% of patients with lung cancer develop cutaneous metastases. While adenocarcinoma is incredibly common, it rare for a manifestation the disease to be initial presenting complaint. Skin manifestations can difficult identify and appear deceptively benign, leading delays in diagnosis treatment. ALK+ specifically has an increased frequency distant lymph node involvement lymphangitic carcinomatosis relative typical EGFR+ cancer. Herein we report case ALK-rearranged that initially presented as skin metastases neck. Such lesions should identified early, considered potential internal malignancy. Given poor prognosis associated metastases, further diagnostic tests, such imaging or biopsy, done urgency.

Hemorrhagic Brain Metastases in a Patient with Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase (ALK)-Rearranged Invasive Mucinous Adenocarcinoma of the Lung

BACKGROUND Invasive mucinous adenocarcinoma (IMA) is a rare variant of adenocarcinoma of the lung. It frequently shows KRAS mutations, while ALK rearrangement is exceedingly rare. We present a case of ALK-rearranged IMA of the lung presenting with an unusual pattern of brain metastases, radiologically mimicking a cavernous angioma. CASE REPORT A 44-year-old non-smoker female was first diagnosed...

CRKL mediates EML4-ALK signaling and is a potential therapeutic target for ALK-rearranged lung adenocarcinoma

Anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) gene rearrangements are oncogenic drivers in a small subset of patients with non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The ALK inhibitors are highly effective in NSCLC patients harboring ALK rearrangements; however, most patients acquire resistance to the therapy following an initial response. Mechanisms of acquired resistance are complex. We used LC-MS/MS-based phosp...
